Test or not to....

 Well, had the cough, sneezes and stuffy mucus gunk. Now I have the tiredness, can only do so much and the have to sit, doze, recover. 

Felt better this morning, had a shower and washed my hair. Drying off, felt a bit light-headed, then realised I was on the floor. Only for a few seconds, but disconcerting.

The weather is still sunny, not as warm but Spring is here.

Happy Birthday to my little bruv. Today was going to be a potting-on day. The plants from J + H are growing well and need sorting. This morning I put the crocosmia and and everlasting pea in the pear tree plot, while P. went in seach of lambs kidneys for Sunday's pie. Then we went to meet J and P in the park. What a lovely morning! J had his scooter and helmet, so speeded around showing us how well he can scoot. Then P had brought several balls so we played throwing and rolling. J stood at the top of one of the little hills in the park and rolled the balls down then I threw them up. He tried catching, but needs a bit more practice. At one point he tumbled and rolled down the hill, so great laughter! Then we stopped for a snack and a chat. Grandpa had gone shopping, so I explained he would be back, we just needed some tweezers because I had picked up a splinter at the plot. High wind and tedium

The wind has thinned the magnolia and spread leaves around as though it was September. The pots of lilies are horizontal and the broad beans have fallen over like a drunkard - but nothing broken. Tied them all up on Saturday with string and hope that they recover. No rain as yet, water butts still empty. M. suggests tap water, which I have not used on the garden for many a year! Sunday was posh perfume day, homemade pastries, fruit and coffee. Chicken for lunch and Xmas pud and custard for afters. Only one pud left! Phoned M and nattered for longer than we should, but it is good to talk. Very windy up there, greenhouse-rolling weather. Emailed A about GWM and it seems there is no record of our subscription, so she is on the case! - even though she is feeling a bit off and had planned a day off. Parents! It is now Bank Holiday Monday, at least in England. M. has taken a day off even though it isn't a Bank Holiday in Scotland. Just because you work from home doesn't mean

Jabs and jobs

 Every day was Sunday, for a while. But now my ginger perfume has come, so we are back to just one a week. Vaccinations are going apace, but variants ooze across the country. The South African is a concern because there are some cases with no obvious contacts with the continent. Tonight they announced another variant in Liverpool. Is this just what a virus does? The more it replicates, the more likely a change will be? Or could it be the virus trying to survive, perhaps if one has the virus (asymptomatically) when vaccinated, it has a chance to fight back. News from Willaston - the clergy seem to be moving on after Easter. Mrs. Vicar was a promising baker, we will miss her. Also discussions on when to re-open the Market. 6th March seems to be favourite. By then most producers will have had their jab and will feel happier about meeting the public. Tomorrow the phone may be working again, an engineer is supposed to be coming to fix it. Then I will be able to have my practice appointment
