Mrs Cake impersonation.....
It is posh perfume day and the sun is still shining. There is a bit of a breeze though, very welcome.
We were up early - well, P was up earlier than me. The plot needs water so he went before 7 with the recycled containers full. Watered and left some for later. I think the well has some water, but not much. Usual breakfast but finished earlier than usual so P washed the car!
Yesterday, my garden. I managed to pot on and put in most of the plants that needed it. Just the long trough of lavender to deal with now. Maybe tomorrow. Need to feed plants tonight.
Tomorrow we are going to Rosemary's for plants and goosegogs. And coffee in the garden. I have also been allowed to check out the greenhouse for more things - great! Must go to bank for cash!
Took a couple of photos of the stars in the garden right now.
This is my cutting from 'Brother Cadfael'
This is the Oriental poppy we bought when we went to Thirsk, several years ago.
Some self-seeds around the garden, but revert to orange. Not sure how I would get more of this colour, perhaps root cuttings?
We met P and J on Friday and walked back through the monkey woods and sandies - an adventure for them, as they'd never been that way before. P was amazed, I think, to find a 'secret' way to ours.
Had lunch, then they went home. J must have beed tired, as he apparently fell over in the car park at Aldi and then went to sleep before he had had tea!
Poor thing!
M has done a post on backwardslion - seems like years since the last one. It is his take on making a pin-hole camera. Lock-in-itis!
Have ordered more coffee (bargains!) so will try to send him some beans.
HC tasting box is due also this week. What's the betting, they come when we are out?
Butterflies and bees fill the garden, nettles look like little ones will be hatching soon.
