Baking and books

There is news that in US they are trailing an ebola treatment for people with COVID 19.
Evidence so far, is not conclusive and there is doubt it will help at all.

There was a programme with Fiona Bruce about Leonard of Quirm which I had not seen before and another about the British Museum in lockdown, narrated by Prof Ramirez, who is always interesting. Also a Goth.
She started by saying there is a saying and a curse attributed to the Chinese (but probably not) that says - May you live in Interesting Times.
Perhaps we are.
Good programme, though. Hoping there is another same time next week.

Have just finished week 2 of my FutureLearn course about the book in modern times 1450 - 1800.
There was a list of banned books as early as 1521, from a meeting at the Diet of Worms.
Good old Pratchett, with his Diet of Bugs in The Fifth Elephant.

Made cheese and chutney scones yesterday and some blueberry+banana muffins. Also finished the oranges. Three and a half bottles liqueur, a bottle of syrup, jar of thick peel for chocolate worms, with some drying to test.
Tastes good.

Garden coming along. P. cut out the bases of 2 battered trugs so have put them on top of the spuds, theory being I can earth them higher, so bigger crop.
We'll see.

Saw an airplane (or is it still aeroplane?) today, way up high.
Rare sight.
